China develops permanent magnet motor for 400 kph high-speed train

The new TQ-800 permanent magnet traction motor is designed for trains with speeds of up to 400 kph.CRRC Zhuzhou Electric Co.,Ltd.launched the TQ-800 motor on September 17th,marking a milestone for China's high-speed railway sector to break the monopoly of foreign technologies in this area and lay a solid foundation for the upgrade of rail transit technologies in China.
