What's Carbon Credit?
文献摘要:
A carbon credit is a unit that represents one ton of carbon dioxide emissions. This new credit system was created as part of the Kyoto Protocol, and it serves to guide businesses in their efforts to combat global warming. Each firm is given a set number of carbon credits that are unique to it and correlate to the amount of carbon dioxide it can release. If a corporation has previously decreased its emissions and has excess credits, it can sell them on the market. The carbon credit was created to assist nations who are signatories to the Kyoto Protocol in keeping their commitments.
